Get started

• Quick startMake a 3D printable model in a few minutes.
• Choose an areaFind a place, then move, resize, turn, and shape the box that becomes the model.
• Size and scaleSet how big the model prints, and make it fit the printer.

Build a model

• Model settingsChoose what the model is built from, tidy its road network, add satellite land cover, and set its base and border.
• LayersTurn the parts of a map data model on or off, and adjust each one.
• Types and own colorsLeave out a kind of road, park, or building, or give it its own color, size, or height.
• Color by heightPrint the ground in bands of color by height, like forest, rock, and snow on a mountain.
• LiDARUse public laser surveys for real roofs and towers, or build the whole model from one.
• Routes and racetracksPrint a run, ride, hike, or race lap on the model in its own color.
• Edit a route on the mapMove points, follow the streets, trim the ends, or draw a new route.
• Colors and filamentsPick a color theme for the filaments available, or set each color by hand.

Edit in 3D

• 3D viewTurn and zoom the model, hide parts, and read its details and warnings.
• Edit the modelSelect buildings, roads, water, and parks to remove them, recolor them, or change their size.
• Add text, shapes, and drawingsAdd labels, pins, boxes, cylinders, and sports fields, or draw new roads, buildings, and parks.
• Smooth the terrainPaint out lumps and noise in the ground of a map data model. Roads, parks, buildings, and trees follow.
• LiDAR only models in the editorPaint over a LiDAR only model to remove trees and cars, smooth roofs and walls, and fix spikes.

Download and print

• Download for a slicerPick a file format, download the model, and open it in a slicer.
• Large models on several platesSplit a model too big for the printer into sections that fit together.
• Water on its own platesPrint the water apart, so the model needs one color fewer.
