Help / Build a model
Colors and filaments
Pick a color theme for the filaments available, or set each color by hand.
Each color is one filament. Colors change in the 3D view as they're picked and never need the model generated again.
Choose a theme
- Open Colors and set Filaments available to how many filaments the printer can load at once. One Bambu AMS holds 4.
- Pick a Theme. Each card shows a small city block in that theme, with that many filaments.
The theme only spends filaments on layers that are on. With fewer filaments, related parts share a color. With more, more of them get their own, up to as many as the theme uses.
- Default
- Caramel buildings, dark streets, green parks, and blue water.
- Gallery
- All white, with blue water.
- Blueprint
- Blueprint blue with the streets drawn in white.
- City Lights
- Black ground and gold streets, like a city at night.
- Terracotta
- Tiled roofs, pale stone streets, and olive trees, for old Mediterranean towns.
- Coastal
- Turquoise water, white beaches, and white buildings.
- Desert
- Sand-colored ground, white towers, and deep blue water.
- Alpine
- Olive forest, bare rock, dark roads, and red trails.
- Neon
- Hot pink buildings and cyan streets on black.
- Sakura
- White, with cherry blossom pink trees in green parks.
- Porcelain
- White, with the streets, parks, and water in blues.
- Circuit
- Black and grays, so a racetrack or route stands out in yellow.
- Amethyst
- Purple with the streets drawn in white and lilac buildings.
- Crimson
- Red with the streets drawn in white and scarlet buildings.
- Mocha
- Coffee browns with cream streets and caramel buildings.
- Halloween
- Black with mandarin orange streets, pumpkin orange trees, and purple water.
Change one color
Click Change beside a color in the list, then pick a filament. The picker shows the Bambu PLA Basic and PLA Matte colors as swatches. Hover over one for its name, or type in Filter filaments. Custom color takes any color.
Changing one of the theme's colors by hand turns the theme into Custom. Pick a theme again to start over. Own colors of types and height bands don't count.
Colors set elsewhere
- Kinds of road, land cover, and building given their own color under Layers.
- Tall buildings, under Buildings in Layers, which prints the skyline in a color of its own.
- Bands of color by height.
- Custom colors made in the 3D editor.
Under the list of colors, Colors links to Color by height and Tall buildings while they're off.
Each of these in a new color adds a filament, and themes don't change them. The count at the bottom of Colors says how many filaments the layers that are on need, custom colors included.
Colors on screen look lighter than printed filament. More than 4 filaments needs a second AMS or swapping filament by hand.
