Keyboard shortcuts

Keys for the map, the 3D editor, and the route editor.

On a Mac, use Cmd where this page says Ctrl, and Option for Alt.

Anywhere

`Ctrl`+`Z`	Undo a change to the area or the settings
`Ctrl`+`Y`, `Ctrl`+`Shift`+`Z`	Redo it
`/`	Search settings
`?`	Open these shortcuts

Area on the map

Drag a corner	Resize, with the opposite corner fixed
`Alt`-drag a corner	Resize around the middle
`Shift` while turning	Turn in steps of 15°
Arrow keys	Move the box 3 pixels, 15 with `Shift`, 1 with `Ctrl` (Option on a Mac)
Arrow keys on a corner or the round handle	Resize or turn in small steps, bigger with `Shift`
`G`	Show or hide the alignment guides
`Esc`	Cancel a drag

3D editor

`V` `M` `X`	Select, select several, split a road
`T` `P` `B` `C` `K`	Add text, a map pin, a box, a cylinder, a sports field
`L` `A` `G`	Draw a road, a building or area, land cover
`R` `H` `S` `E` `U` `O`	Brushes on a LiDAR only model: remove, patch, smooth, flatten, raise or lower, restore
`S` `E` `O`	Terrain brushes on a map data model: smooth, flatten, restore
`Shift`-click, `Ctrl`-click	Add to or remove from the selection
`Shift`-drag	Select everything in a box
`Alt`-click	Select one part of a building, or delete a point of a drawn shape
`Delete`	Remove the selection, or the point picked
`F`	Look at the selection
`[` `]`	Turn shapes by 15°, or size the brush
Arrow keys	Nudge shapes 0.5 mm, 5 mm with `Shift`
`Ctrl`+`D`	Duplicate shapes
`Enter`	Finish a drawing
`Backspace`	Remove the last point of a drawing
`Ctrl`+`Z`, `Ctrl`+`Y`	Undo and redo an edit. With the sidebar focused they undo settings instead
`Esc`	Cancel a drag, stroke, or drawing, go back to Select, then clear the selection

Painting with a brush

Drag	Paint
Right-drag	Turn the view
`Shift`-drag	Smooth, with any brush
`Ctrl`-drag, `Alt`-drag	Lower while raising, or raise while lowering

Editing a route on the map

`V` `D`	Move points, draw
`,` `.`	Previous and next point. Hold `Shift` to pick a section
`Home` `End`	First and last point
Arrow keys	Nudge the point, further with `Shift`
`S`	Snap the point to a road
`Delete`	Delete the point, or cut out the section
`F`	Follow roads on or off
`Alt`-drag	Put a point off the roads
`Enter`	Finish drawing
`Esc`	Go back one step at a time
